Midland, Mich. (USA) – October 1, 2007 – Silicon-materials leader Dow Corning Corp. today announced a $50 million investment in new equipment for its Midland, Mich.
Funding from U.S. Office of Naval Research, Department of Defense - Money to fund maturation of SiC semiconductor materials technology
Challenge: Monitor performance of the equipment, lubricants and crew scheduling. Analyze results for continuous improvement and more effective preventive maintenance. Minimize human error, lube inventories and wasteful lubrication maintenance emergencies.
Although many of the silicone adhesives are designed to be non-flowable, in some applications it may be desirable to have a material with some flow. Dow Corning does provide a range of flowable adhesives, with some being self-leveling for filling channels.
Dow Corning ® Adhesives are supplied as either one or two part formulations, depending on the product being used. Two-part products can be either a 1:1 or 10:1 mix ratio. Typically the two components are readily mixed with static or dynamic mixers.
