Six Cabernet Sauvignon field dormant vines (Clone 8 on SO4 rootstock) were planted in March of 2000. At the end of the growing season in 2000, the plants lost their leaves and entered dormancy. Early in 2001, the plants were pruned to a single four-foot high trunks.
